A Neighbor Running to Put Community Back in County Government

My name is Justin Pinkerton, and I'm running for Hamilton County Commission, District 6 as a community-backed independent. I'm a lifelong District 6 resident and a Red Bank native. I grew up here, went to school here, and I'm raising my family here β€” which means I don't see this seat as political. I see it as personal.

Why I'm Running

Government Should Work With You, Not To You

I'm running because too many residents feel like county government is something that happens to them, not with them. Decisions about schools, infrastructure, budgets, and long-term development shape our daily lives β€” but most people don't hear about those decisions until after the vote. I believe District 6 deserves leadership that shows up, explains the process, and listens early.

Experience & Fit for the Role

Built for Oversight, Accountability, and Problem-Solving

My professional background is rooted in operations, accountability, and practical problem-solving. Throughout my career, I have managed real-world systems where results matter β€” including budgets, team leadership, regulatory compliance, customer service, and conflict resolution.

I have worked across several industries including property management, hospitality leadership, healthcare support, and community-school environments. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of how organizations operate and how decisions affect both employees and the communities they serve.

In 2019, I participated in Leadership Hamilton County Schools, a program designed to develop community leaders who support public education. That same year, I returned to my alma mater to work part-time as a Community School Program Assistant, helping support after-school programming and strengthening connections between the school and the surrounding community.

These experiences have shaped my approach to leadership β€” focused on accountability, collaboration, and delivering results that benefit the community.
